IKONA a.k.a. Gangsta Nancy Sinatra

Tento príspevok som sa rozhodla napísať pre tých, čo nečítajú Vanity Fair (ani na webe, pretože na Slovensku sa nepredáva) a pre tých, čo sú zároveň aj fanúšikmi Lany Del Rey.

Rodená Newyorčanka Lizzy Grant vyštudovala metafyziku a v 18tich hrávala v undergroundových kluboch v Brooklyne. Svoj prvý skutočný album vydala v roku 2010, ale do nášho povedomia sa dostala až zhruba koncom leta 2011 vďaka pesničke Video Games, Laninmu unikátnemu hlasu a vintage looku 50. a 60. rokov. Ja osobne mám jej hudbu veľmi rada a zamilovala som si aj smutno-nežný hit posledných týždňov "Ride" a jej kampaň pre H&M. Fotky pod článkom sú zo stránky Vanity Fair a sú to údajne doposiaľ nezverejnené fotky, ktoré urobila Lanina sestra!! Tak dúfam, že sa Vám budú páčiť a užijete si Lanin pôvabný vzhľad! :)

Born Newyorker Lizzy Grant studied metaphysics and performed in underground clubs in Brooklyn when 18 years old. Her first real album released in 2010 but we've actually noticed her last year thanks to song Video Games, Lana's unique voice and vintage look of  '50 and '60. I really like her music as well and currently enjoying the song of last weeks "Ride" and campaign Lana for H&M. Obama's Girls

After the very-expected-electoral night, we´ve already recognized the old-new American president, Barack Obama. What I want to say first is big congratulation and good luck with dealing with many problems that hit Americans these days. Second, I want you to have a look at picture below. There´s obv Obama´s family during last night, well just after reelecting. When I saw this picture first, I totally fell  in love with Malia's skirt. It is just amazing. The shape, the color, styling, everything. Looks like Obama'girls are growing into beautiful young ladies and follow mother Michelle's fashion senses :))

3 good things for today:

1. I can´t stop thinking about decorating new apt so it just literally takes all the time;

2. super-delicious cauliflower pancakes made by my mum;

3. bought nive and relatively cheap bedroom stuff so we can finally sleep there (well, after cleaning all). :)

PEPLUM v šatníku! / Bring PEPLUM To Your Wardrobe!

Trendom jari 2012 bol okrem iného aj fenomén menom peplum, alebo tiež suknička tričku/šatách/sukni... Moja posadnutosť sa môže zdať tak trochu mimo, keďže už je jeseň, ale ja si myslím, že peplum je stále v kurze. Elegantné, zábavné, zaujímavé a lichotivé postave zároveň. Zvlášť, keď ide o taký typ postavy, ako mám ja a teda, neširoké boky a neúzky driek. Peplum úplne fantasticky a najkrajšie urobí z takejto, tak trochu chlapčenskej postavy femme fatale a zrazu zistíte, že máte aj boky. To sa stalo napríklad aj mne na minuloročných beániách, kde som mala takéto šaty a nielenže sedeli perfektne ale aj tak vyzerali. Samozrejme ich sem nepostnem a zvlášť nie seba, lebo sa ešte trochu hanbím. Každopádne, vybrala som inšpiratívne obrázky, ako mám peplum rada a ako sa nosí. Zvlášť ma zaujal peplum opasok od River Island, ktorý si môžte/môžme kúpiť tu. Top inšpiráciou číslo 2 je pre mňa tento týždeň určite Kristina Bazan z blogu Kayture, ktorá takýto podobný opasok mala oblečený v dvoch rôznych outfitoch na dve rôzne príležitosti a zakaždým to vyzeralo super. Kristinin opasok je zo Zary, klik na link tu. Tak, ako sa Vám páči peplum? Nosíte ho aj Vy? Ak áno, ako?

This spring 2012´trend was, among the others, peplum, also known as overskirt. My obsession with it may seem kinda late or weird, since it´s autumn already, but I consider peplum still trendy and stylish piece. It´s elegant, jolly, refreshing and figure flattering in one time. Particularly when you have figure like I do, and that´s narrow hips and a bit wide waist. Peplum makes you femme fatale with more feminine curves. I used to wear peplum on my ball dress but Im not gonna post it, of course :) Anyway, I found some inspiring peplum pictures, how I love to wear it and how others wear it. The peplum piece that inspired me the most was peplum belt from River Island, you can buy it here. My inspiration number 2 of these days is definitely well-known blogger Kristina Bazan from Kayture. She wore similar belt in two outfits for two different occasions and both were just amazing! You can buy Kristina´s belt here. So, do you like peplum? Do you wear it? If so, how?

Kuchynské okienko / Cookery corner

Dovolím si úprimne konštatovať, že čo sa týka kuchyne a varenia, som tak trochu enfant terrible. O varenie sa nezaujímam, nevarím, nečítam a nekupujem kuchárske knihy a ani ma to nebaví. Dnes som bola sama doma, tak ak som chcela prijať niečo teplé a dobré, s výnimkou kávy a čaju, musela som si navariť sama. A tak vzniklo toto (kuk fotky). Neviem posúdiť, do akej miery to spĺňa estetické kritériá (asi moc nie) ale chuťovo to bolo fajné. Plus musím hrdo dodať, že všetko bolo 100% bio a vypestované doma! Mrkvička udusená na masle s troškou červenej papriky a čiernym korením bola sladká a mäkká a na uvarených zemiakoch a volskom oku sa nedá snáď nič pokaziť....Dnešný obed sa mi celkom vydaril a ešte som sa aj poriadne najedla!

If I speak frankly, I have to admit that when it comes to kitchen and cooking, I'm kinda enfant terrible. I'm not interested in cooking, I don't cook, I don't buy and read cookery books. Today I've been at home alone and if I wanted to eat something hot and good, except for tea or coffee, therefore I had to cook. Aaand I made this (see pics below). I really can't consider if it looks representative but actually, it tasted good. I must add all the ingredients were 100% bio and grown at home! The carrot smothered in butter with a hint of red and black pepper was deliciously sweet plus cooked potatoes and fried egg can't possibly go wrong....Today's lunch turned into really rad & delicious meal!

Keď Karlie zlepší náladu...

Dnešný deň tak trochu reflektuje počasie, odohrávajúce sa vonku. Celkom nanič. Tumblr padol, frajer je fatálne chorý (rozumej bolí ho hrdlo a je unavený), v telke nieje nič čo by ma zaujímalo a nemám sa ísť s kým ani opiť (jedine že by som si dala poldeci s mamou). Zišlo by sa mi, aby ma niekto oblial vodou, ako v tej reklame na minerálku. Isteže, dnešný deň mal aj pozitíva, napríklad som napísala stranu diplomovky, pretože som nemala čo iné robiť :)))

V rámci pozdvihnutia nálady lustrujem internetom a vogue.com je vždy nekonečným zdrojom inšpirácie a krásnych obrázkov. A dočítala som sa, že vraj zamat prežil znovuzrodenie a je hitom tejto sezóny. Súhlasím, zamat nemôže byť hitom v inom ročnom období ako na jeseň! Taktiež vrelo odporúčam čeknúť fotky z análov Vogue: Dressing Up With Vogue, kde sa hneď naľakáte pri fotke Karolíny Kurkovej v štýle Marilyna Mansona.

A na záver, ak máte radi Karlie Kloss tak ako ja (samozrejme v High Fashion, a nie vo VSFS!), tak nech sa páči, topmodelka v roli štýlovej maminy. Krásne! (Musela som sem tú foto dať, pretože si ju chcem nejak zachovať a keby som si ju stiahla do pc, tak ju čoškoro vymažem :D)

Let's talk about HUUUGE RINGS!

Elizabeth Taylor once said: Big girls need big diamonds. Well, I don't wear diamonds (because I haven't got enough money for them) but I totally love big rings. When it comes to jewelry, big coctail rings are my favs. I prefer these two (on the pictures below), I can't even remember when and where I bought them but they're so perf. People usually notice the black one because it looks a bit like a piece of coal or stone. My dream is to own Arty Ring from YSL, but if I (and also you) want to own it, you have to act immediately because ppl from YSL won´t be making them anymore! 

3 good things for today: I 

1. wake up at 10.30 because yesterday, I had to woke up really early,

2. drunk coffee with milk while watching one of my favs series,

3. my nails are finally polished, I handled it pretty well! (you can see on pics below)

New In: Wedge Sneakers

When I want to wear trends, it´s kinda difficult to find some interesting piece in town where I live. Therefore, I prefer shopping abroad but these days I really don´t have opportunity neither money for travelling to Vienna, London or Paris. Yesterday, while walking around shops, I found the wedge sneakers and I simply had to buy them. You can see them on a photo below. They are navy blue, white soled and really comfy. Can´t wait to wear them! Let´s take a look and maybe let me know what do you think about them. Hot or not?
